We have this takeaway very often, because it is just that good! All their food is delicious to make us keep going back again and again. Dahl, amazing. Chicken, perfect. Meat, great. I LOVE this place.

We went for a birthday dinner, and it was solid. We were a big group, so a sub-group of us ordered a combination of different curries to share. I personally ordered a chicken tikka masala and an equivalent with prawn. I absolutely loved the latter -- the prawns were fresh, and the sauce was appropriately velvety. Everything else, ranging from the naans to the starters were great too. Service was good, though not phenomenal. I felt that the waiter could have been a bit more personable and that the dishes could have been served more promptly. Ambience was simple and practical. We were sat on the lower floor, and it was good to have relative quiet and opportunity to chat with one another.

The saag paneer. Thank me later. I came for my friend's birthday dinner- while I fear when restaurant and bar selections are beyond my control, I can say I was pleased with Khan's. The party started out with several tasty popadoms with three distinct sauces (I forgot their proper names). Next, I ordered the saag paneer (£4.95) and with one bite I knew I woudn't have "dish envy" amongst our group of 10. It's cooked spinach with cheese cubes and it's probably one of the most delightful I've had anywhere. I kinda get annoyed with rice is a separate charge, but every establishment seems to be doing it these days. The decor is nice enough, and the staff did much to accommodate our motherload of BYOB drinks to help celebrate our crazy birthday boy. I would totally return!

Hey, look! Brixton's got a decent curry! 10 minutes' walk from my house. Nonstandard dishes. Cheap prices. Super duper nice people. Saag paneer that's clearly made from fresh saag (and fresh paneer, at that). BYO. Great bready things. Hole in the wall, poshed slightly up style. RIGHT BY HOOTENANNY. No, really. The place is good. It's no Hot Stuff, but it's really rather good. Gets me up to that elusive fourth star. Yum.
